Dr. Shaw is the best, very caring of my little schnauzer. Very friendly staff. Had my dog there for surgery and Dr. SHAW did a good job at a reasonable price. I would recommend this vetenarian to anyone.
I love dr. Shaw. He is so good to my cat arnold. He is very friendly and explains everything in detail, not just in medical terms, reasonably priced. Most vets charge 50 plus just to be seen. Here it is half the cost! The staff is also very nice and helpful!! Its not a glamorous place but its spacious and they get you in and out.
Bottom line: I won't be going back if I can help it. I got far less than what I paid for.
The premises though is very bare bones and nothing is computerized which is why I took off a star. But no complaints from me. That's what helps keep the prices down.
Anyway, as of today, I interacted with two nice gentlemen (a vet and a vet tech) and one very rude and impatient female vet tech.
Having read the most helpful reviews on here, I can think of one reason why most people think the staff here is friendly while I do not.
I really like the clinic and have been using them for years. Nice staff. Great Hours. Affordable prices. Dr. Shaw may not be warm and fuzzy but he is thorough and knowledgable and good with his patients.
The female vet tech spoke quite condescendingly to both me in person and my partner on the phone (who, unbeknownst to her, is also an experienced vet tech), did not bother to ask me if I was familiar with any techniques for administering the prescribed antibiotic (I am a first-time indoor cat owner), and seemed to want more than anything for me to hurry up and just leave.
The vet, while friendly, seemed reluctant to tell me the costs of his recommended treatments and failed to communicate the chain of command in the clinic, which delayed my finishing up the transaction.
Called trying to make an appointment with a primary care vet in order to get some basic bloodwork and an exam on my aging cat in order to help define his prognosis, so i can decide whether or not to pursue a surgery on his paw. Woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude and refused to schedule an appointment, saying I would need to go elsewhere because they don't perform surgeries. Lady, I'm not asking you to perform surgery, I am asking for a general health evaluation and some basic blood work. I explained this to her and she continued to refuse to schedule an appointment for me!
There is nothing "low-cost" about their prices (I paid $60 for the antibiotic, which is sold elsewhere for $20 or less), but the facility is low-tech and low-maintenance, albeit spacious.
The male vet tech was the most professional and understanding, though he seemed tired and a little cranky.
