If you need a rug you need Marc L!
Garbage Furniture, even worse warranty. We bought a leather sectional couch, and two large leather recliners from here all at once. The price was around $3500 for everything, and we paid over $600 for warranties on everything. About a year old, both recliners started grinding, and squeaking, and leaving a bunch of black dust on the floor. My wife had to fight with the warranty company for months to get a refund for ONE of them, they wouldn't cover the 2nd. Now we're at 3 years old, and the couch is falling apart. The electronic switches for the motorized reclining portions of the sectional are falling apart, and leather is cracking. We have a warranty on the couch, but neither one of us has the energy to try to deal with the warranty company.
After two weeks of having it, it started to fray. Upset I called Macy's and they sent someone out to inspect it. Macy's agreed to take it back HOWEVER with a $250 fee and the $450 deposit and other payments made would not be reimbursed.
The WORST customer service!! My shopping experience wasn't just unpleasant, it was PAINFUL. Our sales person was very nice, but very, very slow. Scheduling delivery was a NIGHTMARE. Once it was settled, it still wasn't correct, then it was delayed and no one told us. It was rescheduled and they couldn't work around our free time. We're waiting 8 weeks for a headboard! The manager didn't care, they did nothing to improve the situation, I just gave up. Buyer beware! I regret shopping there.
Save yourself the hassle, and shop elsewhere for furniture.
I have had the same microfiber sectional couch for over 5 years from Ashley Furniture and it is in excellent condition. When we moved into our new home the couch did not fit with the layout so we looked for two months for a new couch and ended up going with Macy's because the sales person told us we could change the fabric to microfiber (because the display couch fabric was described to us like sweat her material where it would fray and get fuzzy). So we spent the extra money to get the 'better'/'more durable' fabric...
Great deals and large selection on really nice looking furniture. Look for Marty- he is a really nice, friendly, patient, low pressure sales associate. He gave us plenty of space to look through the showroom on our own and was happy to answer questions and provide us with price comparisons before we made the commitment when we were ready to open up the discussion.
I cannot believe that after being misled by the Macy's sales person, who is suppose to be knowledgable in fabrics, that Macy's would not take ownership in their error and make things right. I am very disappointed in how this entire situation was handled and will never buy anything again from Macy's Furniture. I could have saved ~$1000 on my purchase if I went with the material that came with the couch instead of buying material that I was told would NOT fray and would hold up (the threads are coming out). I never thought I would spend my days trimming my couch and covering it up... It's extremly poor quality and makes the couch look cheap as hell. The way it's going now this couch won't last a year and we barley (literally) use the thing because we are afraid to use it.
You should be ashamed of yourself Macy's for misleading your customers and not making it right.
