Went to pick up a ring that my boyfriend had bought from this store and the manager there was extremely rude and wouldn't let me pick it up unless my boyfriend was there even though I was the one who dropped it off. I then asked how long it had been sitting in the drawer because no one had informed me it was fixed. It had been in there for a month with no phone call! I was told that if I were to pick it up I had to have the repair receipt which I had never received!!! I was told everything was taken care of and I didn't need anything. Employees constantly sit around when I walk past and don't acknowledge you when you walk in, they treat you like an inconvenience. The female employees wear such short clothing! The previous manager was 10x better and had employees who were dressed appropriately and had manners!
I have ALWAYS loved this store until they got this new manager with the curly frosted mullet. I have sent them numerous people (close family and friends) and have spent a lot there. This lady insulted my engagement ring (I guess because I didn't get it there) but then told me I should have known that my wedding band should have lost the same diamond 4 times. If I would have known my ring would be in the store for repairs as much as it is on my finger for the first year of my marriage I wouldn't have gotten it. So upset with how she treated me.
I visited Ashcroft & Oak in the evening of 4 May trying to find a specific gift for my 8 y/o son. The staff ( a lady and a man) spent a half hour with me trying to find, then (an hour later) special ordering the exact gift I was seeking as it was not in the store inventory. During that hour I had gone to five other jewelry stores in the mall without any success or special attention. Over the course of a year we bought my beautiful engagement ring, a sapphire wedding band, and a custom children's ring that they set a diamond in for my daughter. The staff was always very helpul and courteous, going out of their way to find exactly what we wanted, no matter how long it took! The manager even had the child's ring ready two weeks early so we could use it in the wedding ceremony, with no extra charge for the rush order! They do fabulous work. I went to many, many jewelers. Ashcroft could not be beat!
