Just had the most wonderful meal at the south side pittsburgh location! Chef David went above and beyond to see that my table was well taken care of, as well as our server Courtney, who was incredibly attentive and kind. Their attention to detail made our experience fantastic! Would highly recommend to anyone in search of a classy restaurant with beautifully prepared seafood.
Food was ok. Dessert was great. Poor wait staff. Food took over an hour. Once the food was done and we ate the waiter took the food to the kitchen to box it and never brought it back. I asked for a drink and he came back 20 minutes later and asked if i wanted a drink. I eould go back as i think he may have been new.
Go somewhere else. Overpriced, bad food.
The fish and chips are just some fish sticks not actual fillets of cod. By the time I got my food the plate was scalding hot from the heat lamps but the food was totally soggy and 0% crispy. You know you're at a quality restaurant when they can't fry things crisp. 1/10
We have been customers of Mc&S since they arrived at this location. And loved it, but now, not so much! We attended our Veterans Day dinner with friends, as we have for the years you have offered them. But, this Sunday, it was not an enjoyable dinner. The music, Disco, was ear splitting. Not able to carry on a conversation, in addition Michelle(table 1) had to lean in so far to hear our order. We asked the music be lowered a bit, but had to ask 3 times till we were heard. For Veterans, ear splitting Disco was not a decent choice. What happened to dinner music? For an upscale restaurant, dinner music is so much more enjoyable. Our friends said, the music makes us want to "eat & run", our hearts were racing. Why would you discontinue the Birthday dinner the 11th month of the year? Why not wait till January, more logical. I realize you have been bought out , "Again", by Kelly Group, but to cancel right before Veterans Day, when so many people would have enjoyed that privilege. For our party of four, two Veterans and over $100. we were less that pleased. What happened to the McCormick & Schmick's we knew. We have seen so many staff, it's been a revolving door. The food was good, but less than enjoyable. I am sorry to say. But Thank You for Honoring our Veterans, such as my Korea/Vietnam fella.
We also had the Cobia fish and "mushroom risotto" dish. The fish was way overcooked as per apparent standard here, and the risotto was just bad rice. You can usually judge the quality of the kitchen based on the fundamentals like risotto. The risotto here is dry and flavorless. 0/10
Our 1st time here and it was wonderful. The food was excellent. Cost per quantity is right on point. The ambiance is spectacular and the service from Davon was very personal and inviting...
