The manager was very rude to his employees when we were in there. He was actually coaching one of the waitresses on the sales floor in front of customers where we could hear. The morale in the building was terrible you could feel it throughout the whole entire restaurant. Our server Paul was very good and we ended up giving him a very good tip well more than what our bill came to just because we could feel the tension in the air throughout the restaurant. We were sitting close to the waitress station and could hear everyone talking about how they wanted to quit the manager walked around with a scowl on his face a very large Italian man very rude and unfriendly didn't even greet any of the customers are go around two tables like most managers do. The food was still very good they really need to change out the manager in the building and teach him how to motivate employees
This place serves good food and on occasion excellent food. This Sunday was no exception the food was nice looking, tasty, but could have been a bit hotter. It was at eating temp when we got it and it took a while. The waitress did a good job, but I got the impression that they were hurring us up. If the restaurant was busy that would make sense, but they we 1/3 empty the whole time we were there. For these reasons only 4 stars instead of 5.
From the very get go, our service was bad. We were about to be seated but our “waitress” answered a phone call and had a completely personal conversation while we waited to be seated. After we ordered our food, it took forever for 3 of our 4 meals to come out. I had to wait 40 minutes for my simple meal and my whole table had been done eating already. I also had to get my own high chair for my daughter as we were never offered one in the beginning. There were only 3-4 tables so we couldn’t understand why the service was so slow.
Great selection at affordable prices, but it took forever to get our food. The kitchen was a disaster. They told is that they had one person on expo and later told us that their computer system was having issues and our order got lost. When it finally arrived, half of my food was cold and I still waited another 15 minutes for my side of toast. The wait staff was polite and the manager did comp our meals (unprompted). I felt bad because I had no cash and wasn't able to leave a tip on my card since it was comped, but all in all, we paid for nothing and still didn't our money's worth.
I stopped at the restaurant after my son got done with his doctors appointment. We ordered our food and everything was going fine. When our food came the waitress also brought out our bill at the same time. I thought that was weird but no harm done. After my son was done eating he went to the bathroom. I placed my credit card on the table and the waitress ran out to get it. She came back and dropped it off. I was still finishing my coffee and the waitress came back to grab the bill. I told her we were not done yet and I will fill it out later. She said ok and left. She came back 2 minutes later and tried grabbing the bill. Again I told her I did not fill it out yet, I will when I am finished. She said ok again and left. My son now has come back from the bathroom and we were talking. She again came back looking for the bill. We were asked 3 times in a 5 minute window for this bill. I told her again that I did not fill it out yet and that I am now feeling rushed for service. She told me she was in some sort of contest to keep her them around times down. I told her I am a customer , I do not care about turn around times but I care about customer service. She then brought her manager to me and she told me that the waitress was just trying to keep the turn around times down... So basically turn around times are more important than customer experience here at this restaurant. Either that or winning a contest. I am done with IHOP... And anyone reading this should be too
