An honest mechanic.....yes, they actually do exist! Fair prices and work is always done in a timely manner. Do yourself a favor, if u get ripped off every time u have ur car worked on, or ur car is never fixed right....see Fred! U won't regret it and I'm going to guess u will stay with him like I did.
I live in McCandless and have been taking both my and my wife's car to Fred's for a couple of years now. He's always been honest and his pricing is always very reasonable. If I need something done or just suspect that I do, I let him look at it and he always gives me his honest opinion. I haven't had any reason to shop around for another mechanic since I found Fred's. He was initially recommended to me by an employee at Advance Auto Parts down the street from him. When going to Fred's for the first time just know that his shop is a little hard to find if you've never been there, tucked behind AAMCO Transmissions.

Fred is an honest mechanic. He fixed my car and my wife's car many times. Once, when my trunk refused to open, he showed to me how to open it by turning the key twice to override the car's electric lock and didn't charge me anything for it. He could have repaired it for hundreds of dollars instead. When he did work on my car (replace the brakes, tires, etc.), his charges were reasonable and his work was good.
My whole family uses Fred's and we have never had a problem with the service. Thank you for such an honest approach and fast service.
