The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because the hour we paid to be with the cats, a man was there to propose to his girlfriend with photographers and it took away from our experience and stressed out the cats and made them hide and get a little worked up. They told us we were welcome to stay but the girl came early and we felt obligated to leave. If it wasn't for that I would've gave them a perfect rating. However... the manager or owner (not sure which) noticed we left and that we felt a little uncomfortable so she brought us water and gave us candy from Halloween so that was nice but we still paid for 20 more minutes that we lost. It kind of stressed us out and did take away from our experience which was really disappointing because I could play with the cats all day. I hope in the future they make people reserve their own spot when they are planning an engagement so what happened to us doesn't happen to others. Besides this, it really was a lot of fun and a good experience!

This place is really great and I highly recommend it.

This was a gem to find, and one of our favorite memories so far from vacation. The cats are incredible, drinks are splendid, and the music was lovely. You can't find a better place in all of Pittsburgh to sit back, relax, and simply enjoy.

I just loved this place! The food was good, the drinks were good, the staff were friendly, and playing with the cats and hearing their stories was a great time! I definitely plan to go back again and again.

Really Kool place. My daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves. The cats are so sweet. We can't wait to go back and bring some friends. Thank you!!!!

Really awesome cafe. Staff is friendly and helpful. The pastries and lattes are delicious and you can take them upstairs into the cat loft. The decor downstairs and in the loft make for a nice, relaxing time. And the cats are wonderful of course!

To go to the upstairs cat loft, you'll need to make a reservation only. It's quick and easy to do, and you can usually do same day appointments. We booked ours today, and stopped by an hour later for everything. It's $8/per person, and the food and drinks are all reasonably priced. You can even take them upstairs with the cats! Stop by and try it out, you won't regret it!

Love this place. It's really enjoyable to read a book with cats nearby or just walk around and interact with the cats. I truly find that after an hour with the cats I leave much more relaxed than before I arrived. Colony Cat Cafe is definitely more wine-centric, which is pretty evident by the logo, but I am glad they have some beer selections too. I bought and ate a sandwich downstairs before going up to see the cats. I also bought a very delicious cookie, which I brought upstairs with me. A very wonderful cat named Sassy, quickly put his paw on my cookie when I was distracted for a microsecond, but she was cute, so I wasn't too upset when I decided to toss it as a result. My only advice to anyone stopping by is that cats are always curious cats and they like food, so if you are feeling less than fully alert, and cannot eat with only one hand, it may be good to enjoy your snack downstairs and bring a beverage upstairs. If you do bring your order upstairs, you will find yourself to be the center of attention from a few curious cats, which if kind of fun too. Of course the cats are well fed from there own cat food, however even a very full cat is going to be interested in human food.
