The facial was mediocre. I smelled cigarette smoke throughout the entire facial, like the representative had just smoked a cigarette.
I wish I could have selected zero stars for a failing experience! I purchased a gift card for mini facials and a couples massage for my husband for Christmas. Services were confirmed the day before. We arrived after each taking off from work to have our facials back to back. Then after waiting some time past our massage appointments we find that there was only one therapist scheduled for our COUPLES massage. They would not refund the gift certificate and told us that we could give the certificate as a gift if we didn't wish to use it ourselves. Why would I want to give the gift of failed services to some one?!
I received a gift certificate to jakays for Christmas. I held off using it until summer so I could take advantage of the spa pedicure. This is my 1st day spa I have ever been to, so I was overwhelmed by all the services they offer. When I called to make an appointment the woman I spoke with was very friendly and helpful, and it was about 15 minutes to closing time for them. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, other than the spa pedicure, so she offered advice and I called back the next day when I decided. And she still had the spot open for me. I also decided to make another appointment for an earlier date to get my hair cut. I donate my hair every 5 years and wanted to get an appt asap so I didn't change my mind, she got me in the very next day. This is the 5th time I've donated my hair, always went to the same place, so decided to give jakays a try, as they participate in the donation process. They were very welcoming when I walked in and offered a drink while I waited. I got 2 feet cut, and this was the 1st time I was able to say "I love it" when she was done. Charlene was great... happy, friendly, helpful, and was a pleasure to talk to. She paid attention to what I wanted, and she executed the cut perfect! From now on I will go to Charlene for my hair cuts(hoping that she's there in 5 years)
I've gone once for a facial. I never had any issues and the service was good. I decided to call back for a hair cut. I called and was told there was an appointment available. I said give me a few minutes and I will call back because I needed to check and see if my father could watch my dog a little while longer. I called back about 10 minutes later and I told them that I called a little while ago and just wanted to see if the appointment was still available. The girl rudely goes "No, it isn't" BYE! Will never be coming back, ever. And I will let people know about this because I don't expect someone to be rude about it. I understand if the appointment books, that's fine. Just apologize and move on.
Find yourself a professional grade salon and save yourself the headache.
They did offer to compensate the mini facials but that total cost was $70 which doesn't compensate fairly for the cost of two people talking off from work, arranging childcare for two children and putting such a damper on the special afternoon we expected to share!
Services were nice, however the scheduling was a mess from start until finish. No managers wanted to address my issues initially, then Lori finally came over. She was nice, but the girl at the desk was a ditz. I will never return. Save your money
