PLEASE NEVER SEND YOUR CHILD TO BISHOP CANEVIN!!! My child posted lyrics to a song on snapchat over the weekend and returned to school with a ten day suspension with conditions. The terms have to be met within the time frame of the suspension. The terms are almost impossible to meet within the ten days or he will be expelled. There are fights in this school where children get hurt, some fights are pretty gory (my child has never been in a fight). The students who decide to fight only get a 3 day suspension. I have two boys who have been in the Catholic school system since pre-school. We spent well over $100,000.00 in hopes of a better education. The faculty does not take the child's best interests into consideration. The school only cares about TWO things. The first thing is their tution and the second their reputation that they have not earned. Bishop Canevin is just smoke and mirrors... a lie. This is not to deter anyone from the Catholic schools. Do not enroll your child in Bishop Canevin!!! It would be a major mistake.
I'm more than privileged to be going into my senior year at Canevin, and there is no other school I'd rather attend!
Bishop Canevin is a wonderful school which provides all its students with a well-rounded education. Ignore these other reviews. They are just bitter students. Canevin has given many students a place to express themselves.
Student expression is observable in nearly every facet of school life. Dances, pep rallies, football game themes, and much more are all student-run, allowing them to have a leading role in the school's culture. This culture is one of tolerance, mutual respect, and pursuit of growth.
Canevin has offered so many great opportunities throughout my years. Their AP curriculum is aptly described by one of the faculty members: "We want you to be challenged, not frustrated." Public speaking, creative writing, and arts electives allow students to venture out of their comfort zones, imbuing introverts with valuable social skills that aren't normally taught in the classroom. Our athletic teams - especially volleyball & basketball - continuously bring home victories, proving again that we thrive under challenge.

Bishop Canevin is a terrible Catholic school. My child comes home crying everyday. They do not care about each individual pupils needs. They do not care about students getting bullied. I thought they had a zero tolerance for bullying... I was extremely wrong. My child has been bullied all year and they told him to "separate himself from the situation". How is one to do that? The only thing they care about is their money. The faculty members are extremely rude. We have spoken many times to the counselor. If I were you I would think really hard about sending your child to Bishop Canevin. This is our first experience with Catholic schools in Pa. We moved from another state and it wasn't worth the money. My biggest regret is not sending my child to seton-lasalle. If I could give negative Stars I would.
