As a heavy endurance athlete, I've often been told to rest for 6-8 weeks and NOT continue doing what I do - but Mike and his team NEVER enforced this mentality. They understand the psychosocial components of athletes and the need to be able to do what we do. Instead, they worked with me - and took a true interest in understanding my athletic goals to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that would strengthen and stabilize all of the underlying issues as well as re-educate my muscles to work more efficiently and to reduce the potential for future injury. They took an exorbitant effort to ensure that I received the right amount of "hands on" manipulation. It was very much unlike other centers that focus on productivity level and business approach vs. a medical model approach that is more focused on patient outcomes.
State of the art facility. They really know what they're doing here
Kevin and Mike make an effective team and Becky keeps everything running. If you want a group that will listen and work toward your common goals, this is a great place to go.
My experience with PTN Harmarville has been nothing short of amazing. Everyone on the team is very friendly, helpful and supportive. Especially Kevin, my therapist, who is extremely knowledgeable. He's pushed, inspired and really helped me with my knee issues. I highly recommend the staff of PTN Harmarville to anyone looking for PT.
If you need PT - these guys are one of the best!!!
Hands down, one of the best places for physical therapy that I've ever been to - and I've been to a lot!
With that being said, even if you are not a high endurance athlete, Mike (and Cara) will help you! When I was there, I saw a range of ages pass through with ailments ranging from concussion based to knee replacements, and I never once heard a complaint! Which is really quiet a feat in the world of therapy!
Having participated in sessions at other facilities, I was particularly impressed with the depth of knowledge of the physical therapist and time spent with me to personally address my health issues at PTN in Cranberry Twp., PA. The physical therapist, Mike Ricchiuto, approached my treatment in an holistic manner and took into account my medical history, lifestyle, age, and physical characteristics. As my condition was not improving prior to the physical therapy sessions and recommended at-home exercises, and, as I am not taking medication for the issues, I attribute my continuing improvement to the efforts of the PTN staff and their state-of-the-art knowledge and equipment. Thank you so very much!
Upon my discharge, they provided me with a home exercise program to ensure that my success would continue.
Also, remember that most insurances DO NOT require that you see a physician first. PTNOW offers "direct access," and the capability to see patients directly - so you will waste not time in getting better!!
