The centerpieces for my wedding were pretty, my bouquet was beautiful and my bridesmaids' bouquets/groomsmen boutonnieres were pretty. Elizabeth is nice, good-hearted and energetic, but I feel like I'd have gotten a beautiful product elsewhere, in a more efficient and less frustrating manner.
Additionally, the main florist is very difficult to work with. I do not live close (4+ hours away) and I made several trips to see her. Several because she would either be too busy or forget I was coming and wouldn't make the sample arrangements. She is not very dependable.
Elizabeth is full of energy and ideas, but my experience with her was pretty exhausting. Primarily, she talks A LOT, veers way off subject very often and for a long time. She is not efficient and the appointments were time-consuming.I had to go back and meet with her multiple times, and every time I felt like she was unprepared. We'd talk about a lot of things, and she'd write them down and the next time I'd go back, we'd have to go over things again. When I went to review/approve what she put together for my centerpieces (after having a prior meeting to talk about them), I showed up and it turned out that someone had thrown away the example she put together for me, so she had to rebuild it, haphazardly and incompletely. In addition, her idea was a bit lackluster, in my opinion, and we had to add to it a bit for it to look full and beautiful.
The prices are good but not sure if it's worth the hassle of dealing with her. I would definitely pick a different florist if I could do my wedding all over again.
I definitely would not recommend this florist unless you are okay with the florist doing whatever SHE WANTS rather then what you ask for.
Very bad place canceled my appointment at last second with being told that we could come in the next day only to be told they could not help me and that they would call when they can. Do not trust them they will randomly just blow you off with no intention of helping you
At the end of every meeting, I'd ask about next steps and she'd always tell me she'd call me by a certain day. Not once did she call me by that day. I always had to call and follow up to determine status, next steps, etc. Additionally, I didn't know the full price of my flowers until a day or two before my wedding, and only because I had to ask, again.
I don't normally write reviews but feel compelled to warn other brides so that they don't have to feel the way I do AFTER their wedding day.
Awful service.Fine plants, nothing special. HORRIBLE service. They seemed irritated by our presents. The part that peived me off the most is that they have 2 large beautiful birds. They seem to abuse the birds. One is constantly screaming and one has no tail. Both birds are living in TINY cages and they are filthy. One is outside in a green house completely seperated from people. The birds deserve better.
I didn't get to review any of the flowers until a week or so before my wedding, because she said there was a delay with the supplier. She promised to get them there in a day or two, which turned into over a week later. She also promised that she'd demand a lower price from the supplier because of the delay, but I don't feel like that was ever realized in the end.
I sent the florist multiple images of what type of arrangements I wanted (basically, they were all flowers, minimal green arrangements). I made quite a large order and also asked for 4 larger similar arrangements for the front of the wedding aisle and to be reused for the reception stage later in the night. What was delivered as my larger arrangements, all you could see was green. It was the complete opposite of what I had asked for. When I messaged the florist telling her how unhappy I was with the flowers on my wedding day, she replied "I thought they showed up nicely with the material in use".. what does that even mean? If I paid for something, it should have been what I paid for.. not what she thought would look nice.
Elizabeth, the owner, is nothing short of amazing! She is so kind and warm hearted. When I approached her with a sticky situation she was so sweet and understanding. She made light on the situation and really made me feel better than I did walking in! From now on I will only be using The Botanical Emporium Florist for any of my floral needs!
