Nice place, but a typical looking Steeler/Pens bar. Huge screen for watching sports at the back.
Great punk rock bar. Cool atmosphere with a cool show space upstairs. Favorite spot on the south side.
BE WARED! If you park in front, please be aware that your car could taken away. The bar doesn't seem to think about warning it's patrons. Also.....if you are going there for a show be prepared to wait A LONG TIME. They do not have their stuff together.
Cute place but the food was very lackluster. I ordered pierogies and they were just like Mrs T's frozen ones but not served with butter or onions just red wine candied onions which were ok. The mac 'n cheese was noodles in a big soup bowl of runny sauce and cheese. Was not impressed.
I happen to really like the Smiling Moose but it's also hit and miss for me. It's a little grimey (but it's a bar on the Southside so....) The food is really good, but sometimes it takes to long to come out and isn't as hot as I would like. Great beers on tap, but also extremely packed at times (it's kind of small). If I could give half stars it would definitely be a 3.5, but it's not a 4.
